Credit by Exams
Students who graduate from Texas public high schools are required to pass their End of Course exams. When students take these classes.... Algebra, Biology, US History, English 1 and English 2....they take the End of Course exams for those courses. Students have to pass all five exams in order to graduate. Tutorials will be offered before school in the Success Lab from 7:45 - 8:15am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

AP deposits have been paid. The balance should be in your InTouch account after the break. All balances must be paid by March 7 at 4pm.

AMCHS offers the SAT most weekends on our campus. We also offer the SAT School Day for Juniors in the spring of their Junior year.

PSAT scores can be found in your student's College Board account.
PSAT will be given to all Juniors on October 17. Tests have already been ordered.
PSAT will be given on October 17 to all Sophomores who choose to signed up. The deadline has passed.
PSAT 8/9 will be given to all Freshmen who signed up. The deadline has passed.
The PSAT has switched to digital this year which means all testing will be on the computer.
Students who already have accommodations approved by the College Board will have accommodations on the PSAT.
The PSAT is vertically aligned to the SAT so it's a good benchmark for preparing for the SAT for college admissions. Information about the PSAT can be found at the link above. AMCHS has a long history with many National Merit Finalists, Commended Scholars, African American Scholars, Indigenous Scholars and Hispanic Scholars.

A "college ready" score is required for students who plan to attend a public college or university in Texas. This can be accomplished by taking the TSIA 2 or a substitute assessment. "College Ready" scores and acceptable substitutes are listed below.
